What to expect from a photo estimate, how to check it, and what happens to the information you submit.
How accurate is the estimate?
We have not established a published accuracy rate. The model can misidentify a vehicle or produce an unsuitable price range. Check its make, model, year, and trim against the vehicle’s records. Compare its output with relevant current listings, written offers, and an independent inspection. It is a research aid, not a certified appraisal.
Can a photo tell you the mileage or mechanical condition?
No. Mileage and condition fields are AI inferences from limited information. They are not an odometer reading, inspection, vehicle-history check, or proof that a vehicle is safe to drive. Replace those assumptions with verified information when researching price.
Which market and currency do you support?
The backend asks for a U.S. market estimate and reports a range in USD. Uploading a photo from another country does not change that market. The tool does not currently ask for a location or actual mileage, so it cannot reliably account for your exact local circumstances.
What makes a useful photo?
A clear, well-lit view showing most of the car is a good starting point. Avoid blur, obstruction, filters, and extreme close-ups. We accept JPEG, PNG, and WebP files up to 100 MB. Remove personal details and only share images you are authorized to use.
Why is an estimate taking longer or failing?
Security checks, image processing, model response time, and optional web search can take time. An unclear image, unsupported file, temporary provider error, or rate limit can prevent a result. Wait for the current request to finish before trying again; the page will show any returned error.
Do you keep my uploaded images?
We do not provide a photo gallery or saved valuation history. Images are processed by our API and external AI providers, and upload handling may use temporary files. Security and diagnostic records may be retained by service providers. This is not a zero-retention service. Read the privacy policy for the data flow and provider disclosures.
Do I have to accept advertising cookies?
No. You can reject optional advertising and analytics and still request a valuation. Essential security checks remain active. Use Privacy choices in the footer to change your selection.
Can I use a result for insurance, financing, or a legal dispute?
Use the appraisal or inspection required by the organization handling that matter. VehicleValue AI provides an informational estimate and cannot certify a vehicle’s condition or value.
Is the result a trade-in offer?
